Everyone knows that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and it’s who you know, not what you know that counts. I worked up the guts to propose to my beautiful girlfriend Sarah and she said yes. My station cluster lost a long drawn out bidding process for the rights to the team I’ve covered for the last five years.… Read More

A major part of why I posted my Blueprint to Broadcasting Success was so it could be helpful to other broadcasters. I also posted it for selfish reasons to hold myself accountable for putting in the extra work to get better. As part of that accountability I’m going to post monthly on how closely I stuck with the plan, the challenges faced, and how/ if I’m hearing improvement in my self critiques.… Read More
Building this site has given me the opportunity to connect with many like-minded people who are passionate about the sportscasting industry. Most of these connections have been made via Twitter and email. That’s great, but it’s not the same as sharing food, drinks, and face time.
With this in mind, and several big life/career changes happening or coming up very soon, the timing worked perfectly for my fiancée and I (one of those life changes) to pile in the car and take a little vacation.… Read More
